This commercial office building was originally designed for residential use. FPE’s design specified the removal of the floor slab directly over the lobby, which doubled the lobby’s ceiling height from eight to 16 feet, and allowed for a two-story glass entrance. New interior finishes, which include stainless steel panels, aluminum channels, and Scottish slate with integral wall sconces, modernize the space. A five-story curtain wall was installed around the entrance, and all windows were replaced, completely updating the exterior. The main entrance was framed with a stainless steel and aluminum portal, featuring a distinctive, raised canopy.
