Over the span of 7 years, FPE renovated more than a half-dozen daycare centers for the New York City Department of Children’s Services. The scope of work included new paint and finishes, new hardware, new HVAC systems, renovations and upgrades to commercial kitchens, and the installation of new rooftop playgrounds. FPE’s involvement in these renovations dates back to the creation of the Capital Improvement Program, a city-sponsored effort that set out to restore these facilities. FPE is responsible for implementing the method of documentation that is now used citywide.
