After the successful repositioning of 1359 Broadway, W & H Properties retained FPE to help convert 1333 Broadway from a loft building to a modern office building. Inspired by the original plaster ceiling moldings and exterior metal detailing, FPE designed a lobby that respects the architectural vocabulary of the original design by Clinton & Russell while accommodating up-to-date technologies. The work included expanding the passenger elevator core from three elevator cabs to five. A new bronze storefront and awning denote the building entrance, framed in a limestone and granite surround modeled after the original metal entrance portal.
